ABOUT FAIR IMPORT

Fair Import mainly focus on product that are organic or Fairtrade or preferable both. We sell to retail, wholesale, and industrial customer in EU. We supply both private label products for supermarket chains and vanilla beans, vanilla powder and vanilla extracts to wholesalers and to companies that use vanilla products from FAIR Import as ingredients in their production.

FAIR Import is appointed agent for the Madagascan vanilla producer FlorIbis, which is both Fairtrade and organic certified as well as halal and kosher certified.

FAIR Import is a commercial company contributing to development in the poorest part of the world.

The idea originated in Uganda

The founder of FAIR Import, Michael Dahlsgaard, has a background as Accounting Manager, and when he lived and worked in Uganda for three years in the early ́00s the desire to work with Fairtrade was created. He has traveled extensively throughout Africa and has gained a great deal of insight about trade with African producers.

Back in Denmark he founded FAIR Import in Risskov north of Aarhus in 2006.
