Vanilla
We sell both organic vanilla and organic Fairtrade vanilla. All our vanilla comes from Madagascar, where we collaborate with FlorIbis, which have produced vanilla for over 20 years. FlorIbis has one of the largest vanilla plantations in Madagascar, near the town Vohemar in northeastern Madagascar. With it ́s employees is FlorIbis the largest employer in the area, producing about 100 MT of vanilla annually. In addition to the 30-hectare organic vanilla plant, FlorIbis also have nearly 600 hectares of agriculture land, its own laboratories and 2.700 m2of greenhouses. FlorIbis also work together with local cooperatives that have more than 1.800 local farmers that supply organic vanilla to FlorIbis.
FlorIbis is HACCP certified and has full traceability on all their vanilla beans and vanilla powder. The vanilla powder from FlorIbis is made entirely with whole ripe vanilla beans and not cuts of extracted beans. Prior to the supply of FlorIbis vanilla to European customers is each batch analyzed for pesticides and microbiological values by SGS Institute in Berlin.
Since 2018 have FAIR Import been appointed agent for FlorIbis. The producer FlorIbis was established in 2000 by French Jean Christophe Peyre.
